Frequently asked questions about the AirMini AutoSet and AirFit N30 nasal cradle mask

Will I be able to use the AirMini as a full-time machine?

AirMini is cleared by the FDA for use in the home setting, using innovations like ActiveAir™, HumidX, and the connected AirMini App to maintain therapy quality as compared to larger CPAP machines. If you have more questions about whether a particular CPAP machine is right for your needs, contact your healthcare provider.

Can I use insurance to make purchases from the ResMed Shop?

No. Insurance will pay for medical equipment and supplies only if a supplier has a Medicare or Medicaid supplier number. Expedite, the operator of the ResMed Shop, does not have a Medicare or Medicaid supplier number. Insurance will not pay for any medical equipment and supplies we sell to you.

Does the AirMini offer humidification?

Yes, the AirMini has several humidification options: HumidX, HumidX Plus, and HumidX F20. They are small heat and moisture exchangers (HME) that are designed to provide effective waterless humidification and keep your therapy comfortable without the need of distilled water.

Is the N30 nasal cradle mask compatible with other CPAP devices?

No. The N30 nasal cradle mask pack is only compatible with the AirMini AutoSet CPAP machine.

What is HumidX waterless humidification?

HumidX is ResMed’s waterless humidification system, exclusive to AirMini and designed to deliver a comfortable and convenient therapy experience. It captures heat and moisture produced while you sleep, turning each exhale into a warmer, more natural inhale, to improve airway dryness symptoms common to CPAP therapy.

Currently, HumidX is only compatible with the P10 nasal pillows, N20 and N30 nasal masks and offers two levels of humidification, HumidX and HumidX Plus.

Please note HumidX is NOT compatible with the F20 or F30 full face masks.

How often should I replace my N30 mask components?

It is recommended to replace the CPAP mask cushion every month, the CPAP mask headgear is recommended to be replaced every six months, and the tubing that connects your mask to your machine every three months.

Why is the AirFit N30 nasal cradle mask cushion made from silicone material?

Most CPAP masks have silicone cushions because it’s a hypoallergenic material that’s soft, lightweight and allows for a stable, comfortable seal on your face while you’re sleeping. It’s important that you decide what’s most comfortable for you and your therapy when it comes to your mask cushion. If you experience skin irritation or are uncomfortable with your current mask, contact us so you can try a different mask.

Rest assured. AirMini features the same established algorithms as ResMed’s AirSense™ 10 bedside machines. AutoSet therapy changes airflow pressure levels throughout the night based on your needs. The included AutoSet for Her™ therapy mode is tailored to the specific breathing patterns of females.
