Is the F20 full face mask kit compatible with other CPAP devices?

No. The F20 full face mask kit is only compatible with the AirMini AutoSet CPAP machine.

How often should I replace mask parts?

It is recommended to replace the CPAP mask cushion every month, the CPAP mask headgear is recommended to be replaced every six months, and the tubing that connects your mask to our machine every three months.

Why is the F20 full face mask cushion made from silicone material?

Most CPAP masks have silicone cushions because it’s a hypoallergenic material that’s soft, lightweight and allows for a stable, comfortable seal on your face while you’re sleeping. It’s important that you decide what’s most comfortable for you and your therapy when it comes to your mask cushion. If you experience skin irritation or are uncomfortable with your current mask, contact us so you can try a different mask.

What’s the difference between the silicone and memory foam cushions?

The AirTouch F20 is the same mask as the AirFit F20, except the cushion is made of our patented UltraSoft™ memory foam, which is light and gentle against skin and doesn’t require cleaning when replaced regularly.

What is AirFit F20 for Her?

AirFit F20 for Her is the same mask as an AirFit F20 except it has lavender accents rather than the standard blue, and is only available in sizes Small and Medium.

Contraindications & Warnings

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Masks with magnetic components are contraindicated for use by patients where they, or anyone in close physical contact while using the mask, have the following:

Active medical implants that interact with magnets (i.e., pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD), neurostimulators, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) shunts, insulin/infusion pumps)
Metallic implants/objects containing ferromagnetic material (i.e., aneurysm clips/flow disruption devices, embolic coils, stents, valves, electrodes, implants to restore hearing or balance with implanted magnets, ocular implants, metallic splinters in the eye)

WARNING

Keep the mask magnets at a safe distance of at least 6 inches (150 mm) away from implants or medical devices that may be adversely affected by magnetic interference. This warning applies to you or anyone in close physical contact with your mask. The magnets are in the frame and lower headgear clips, with a magnetic field strength of up to 400mT. When worn, they connect to secure the mask but may inadvertently detach while asleep.

Implants/medical devices, including those listed within contraindications, may be adversely affected if they change function under external magnetic fields or contain ferromagnetic materials that attract/repel to magnetic fields (some metallic implants, e.g., contact lenses with metal, dental implants, metallic cranial plates, screws, burr hole covers, and bone substitute devices). Consult your physician and manufacturer of your implant / other medical device for information on the potential adverse effects of magnetic fields.

Why does the F20 full face mask have it's own HumidX?

Exclusive to the F20 full face mask, HumidX F20 is ResMed's waterless humidifcation system, designed to retain moisture and humidify the air you breathe in. Compatible with both AirFit silicone and AirTouch memory foam cushions, HumidX F20 cartridges help provide comfort and effective humidification for most climates and sleep environments.

HumidX F20 is only compatible with the F20 full face mask.

Please note HumidX F20 is NOT compatible with the P10 nasal pillows, N20 and N30 nasal, or F30 full face masks.
