Consent to “AirView”
Within the online application ‘’AirView’’, ResMed (UK) Ltd is able to monitor your sleep therapy from a distance.
For this purpose, data collected by ResMed devices used to treat patients with sleep-disordered breathing, such as the length of time the Device and the mask are used, leakage figures, pressure values or the apnoe-hypopnoea index – are transmitted to AirView in encrypted form. The Device is identified by means of the serial number; no personal data such as your name or address are sent. Afterwards, the data which has been transmitted can only be attributed to you personally by ResMed who can then use the information for your treatment.
In AirView, the data is transferred in encrypted form either via a mobile communications network or online by your Service Provider.
AirView is operated for ResMed SAS (Parc Technologique de Lyon, 292 Allée Jacques Monod, 69791 Saint Priest Cedex, France) by a provider specialised in handling health data (currently: Informatique de Securité SAS, at 2 Avenue des Puits, 71300 Montceau-les-Mines, France), who ensures compliance with the very strict criteria laid down for hosting health data.
By giving consent, you agree to your data being transmitted, processed and used in AirView. If however, you want to revoke this consent, you can do so at any time without stating the reasons. To do that, simply contact ResMed in writing.
You may indicate your consent to the above via the tick box on the AirSense 10 product page.
We would suggest you print a copy of this for your records.
